Meet the Maker
Hello! I'm Connie, the maker behind Saturday Ceramics. I'm originally from Dunedin, I moved to Queenstown about 9 years ago. I found a pottery class in Queenstown and I instantly fell in love! I really like the fact that I can make handmade homewares that someone can use and enjoy everyday. I usually work on the wheel, mostly making mugs, bowls and plates.

We create a very small collection of knitting patterns that we have made for ourselves and think others may enjoy too. Monday Journal celebrates simple pleasures + living in comfort, combining a love of busy hands and a creative inclination. We hold dear the belief that it's cool to care + encourage shopping mindfully.

About Josh
I was born in Kaitaia in the far north of Aotearoa - New Zealand. Inspired by my Grandfather, I have completed my Bachelor of Architectural studies at the University of Auckland. I love drawing, I always carry around a sketchbook and draw everything I find interesting. More and more people have been asking to buy my work, so rather than stacking all my drawings in a cupboard I’d rather draw people’s houses and create something they can cherish.

Our Story
LONGIES was born from a passion for creation. What started as a hobby of sewing my own wardrobe over many years has turned into a desire to see if New Zealand made products can compete with foreign-made. I began this journey with a crossbody bag that was tried, tested and loved by friends and family. Their enthusiastic support provided the perfect platform for LONGIES to launch from.
